Appointment and referral information

Requirements

To see one of our mental health experts, you must:

have a referral from a healthcare professional
be at least 18 years old
be interested in receiving psychological treatment
not be undergoing another type of psychotherapy

Note: CBT may not be suitable for patients who mainly want treatment for personality, substance use or eating disorders.

Referrals

We accept referrals from:

nurse practitioners or physicians (such as psychiatrists and medical specialists) at MUHC clinics
psychiatrists at CLSCs, family medicine groups (GMFs), and other hospital centres in Quebec
the Guichet d’accès en santé mentale adulte (GASMA)

If you are eligible for our services, a member of our team will contact you to ask you some questions and give you more information about our clinic. At this stage, you will be added to our waiting list for a full assessment. Most patients are seen within four to six months, but wait times can vary.
