Mental Health Support
A pregnancy is an exciting event for the entire family, however some women and men may be anxious, stressed or have feelings of depression.
Getting help early is important to best care for yourself and your baby. If you are followed at the MUHC Obstetrics clinic, speak to your nurse. She can refer you to community resources.
Where to Find Help
- MUHC Support Group: “Managing your mental health: Prenatal and postnatal coping”: support group for pregnant/ postpartum women living with depression or anxiety.
- Call 514 934-1934 ext. 35502 for information (only available to patients delivering at the MUHC).
- Family physician. Request one through CLSC or online
- Work Employee Assistance Program

- Psychologist (may be covered with private insurance). Finding a psychologist
- Couple Therapy; problems with pelvic-genital-penetration pain; fear of pregnancy and delivery: (subject to change)
