Rosy was 14 months when her parents found out she had a brain tumour. Now eight years old, the doctors at The Montreal Children’s Hospital have operated on her four times. Despite their efforts the tumour has returned in full force. "This is a tumor of two or three centimeters, but it is located in a spot that is responsible for controlling major functions, such as the heart and breathing. Each time it is removed, it comes back," said Dr. Nada Jabado, hematologist-oncologist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. "The hope is that, with research - and there is much research being done on this particular type of tumour – we will find medications that are more effective," Dr. Nada Jabado explains to TVA Nouvelle.
