From practice to reality

Moving a hospital is not an easy task. That is why the MUHC has been planning it for almost two years. In order to prepare for the move on April 26, medical teams are conducting simulations to test the many procedures and the roles of each stakeholder. La Presse attended to one of these simulations.

A new study, led by Dr. Patricia Tonin, associate leader of the Cancer Research Program at the Research Institute of the MUHC, featured in a CBC report and a Radio-Canada International report this week. The study advocates for genetic testing for all women with ovarian cancer based on a high frequency of carriers regardless of family history, which is currently not the standard of care and official policy in Quebec.
