Clarification on the use of the building located on 5100 de Maisonneuve

MONTREAL — The building located at 5100 de Maisonneuve does not house any clinical services of the MUHC. The private clinics located in the building have signed a lease with the MUHC, who manages this property owned by the MUHC Foundation. This dossier and other capital and real estate topics are currently under joint review by the MUHC administration and the MSSS.

In accordance with the MSSS's clinical plan for the establishment, which stipulates that the use of the Glen site should be reserved for specialized and ultraspecialized clinical activities, some MUHC affiliated doctors have chosen to move activities that are of lower intensity and don’t need the infrastructure of a hospital to different external private clinics, including 5100 de Maisonneuve. Their activities are fully covered under the RAMQ.

We would also like to remind the population that free blood tests covered by the RAMQ are widely available in many MUHC installations as well as in all the CLSCs.
