Rapid antigen detection tests for COVID-19: using and reading them well
Drs Cédric Yansouni, Jesse Papenburg, Dick Menzies, and Jonathon Campbell, researchers at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, have developed a modified quick reference guide to facilitate the performance and interpretation of rapid antigen tests for COVID-19 by untrained individuals. In a study, they compared the use of this guide to the manufacturer's instructions and showed that their guide significantly improved the test interpretation accuracy. While their findings are being peer-reviewed for publication, the tools they developed can already be used.
