The MUHC Stands With Ukraine

It is heartening to see countries, cities and citizens from across the globe standing in solidarity with Ukraine. The MUHC joins this united front and offers our thoughts and prayers to the men, women and children directly affected by the conflict as well as family and friends living in Montreal and across Canada.

The MUHC trauma program has been involved in Ukraine for more than 10 years through the Centre for Global Surgery, led by Drs. Tarek Razek and Dan Deckelbaum. The Centre is currently in touch with colleagues in major cities in Ukraine providing telehealth support and teaching modules for the training of family physicians and others dealing with the many injured victims. Our colleagues have worked and taught in the hospitals touched by the bombings; the connection is tangible and real.

We stand with Ukraine and call for swift end to this terrible crisis.
