More patient partners, more opportunities to collaborate!

The Patient Engagement Office says its new Patient Partnership web page is achieving its goal: to help raise public awareness about patient partnership at the MUHC. The web page launched on muhc.ca at the end of December. The Patient Engagement team says, since then, they have seen an increase in applications from people interested in becoming patient partners.

Caterina Staltari recently took on the role of supporting Patient Engagement. “The new web page is user-friendly, and the web form makes it easy for anyone to express their interest. Candidates simply fill out the form online, click submit, and we receive their application immediately,” she says. “It’s fantastic to hear from so many individuals eager to collaborate with clinical teams to improve care and services.” Visit the web page and see the web form.

"Patient partners are individuals with a lot of firsthand experience in the healthcare system - whether as patients, family members, or caregivers," explains Louise-Anna Regnaud, people-centred care advisor. "They bring valuable insights and lived experience to the table, helping to shape more human-centred approaches in healthcare."
