June 7 : The International Supply Chain Day
On this International Supply Chain Day, we'd like to highlight an entire process and the exceptional work of the employees who make it possible. They are essential to the smooth running of our hospital and their dedication deserves to be recognized.
A diverse range of people are involved in the logistics of operations at the MUHC. These key players make all activities possible by ensuring that staff have the materials they need for their respective activities. This work goes far beyond moving goods; it ensures continuity of care by enabling our medical staff to focus on what matters most: our patients.
From the warehousemen, who have their own channels as front-line staff on each floor, to the warehouse, shipping and receiving staff, everyone is responsible for ensuring that each person has the right equipment needed to deliver a wide range of services.
And let's not forget the administrative staff, the buyers, and the team of clinicians who, in addition to overseeing supply, ensure that the procedures for handling these products are respected.
The hard work of these teams contributes directly to the quality of care we provide. Their efficiency and commitment enable us to provide a full array of healthcare services, guaranteeing our patients optimal care. Without these employees, the hospital wouldn’t be able to function so smoothly or successfully.
Many thanks to all of our supply chain employees for their dedication and professionalism. You are the quiet heroes who make our mission possible every day.
