Employee Spotlight: International Security Officers Day!

Thank you, Temuera Billy Betham Anihia, and all your colleagues, for the excellent work you do.  Join us as we celebrate International Security Officers Day on July 24. 

What led you to becoming a security officer ?  

I heard about the job through a friend and she convinced me to apply and join the MUHC Security team. I haven't regretted my choice for a moment. I'm surrounded by a great team, and it's a real pleasure to work with them.    

What is the best advice that someone at the MUHC ever gave you?  

This isn’t advice but rather a personal observation. One of my colleagues once told me - It's not the work you miss, but the people you work with.  

Tell us about working with your colleagues ?  

I'm lucky enough to work with an incredible team. We are like a family. Even if we disagree, at the end of the day, I know I can count on them.    

How do you like to relax and unwind after a shift?  

My favorite way to relax is through sports. I do CrossFit and weightlifting. It's my way of cutting myself off from the rest of the world for a few moments.
