Dr. Sheppard wins Prize for Public Engagement through Media

Dr. Donald Sheppard's valued contributions in news media were recently recognized by McGill University, and we are proud to say that he has been awarded the McGill Principal’s Prize for Public Engagement through Media. Senior Scientist at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC), Dr. Sheppard appeared both in English and French media since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic to help shed light on the complex science behind the virus, public health and safety measures, and vaccination. In addition to his own research into infectious diseases and immunity, Dr. Sheppard committed himself to countering misinformation during this crucial time and has shared his expert views with Montrealers, so they can make informed decisions.
