Dr. Rocke Roberston Visiting Professorship at the Montreal General Hospital
Over 100 doctors, nurses, residents, and medical students gathered both in-person and remotely over the last days in the Osler Amphitheater at the Montreal General Hospital (MGH) to listen to a leader in trauma surgery, Dr. Bryan A. Cotton from Houston, as part of the 28th annual Visiting Professorship, organized by the MGH Adult Trauma Program of the McGill University Health Center (MUHC).
Dr. Jeremy Grushka, who had the pleasure of introducing the speaker highlighted Dr. Cotton’s significant scientific contribution to the trauma community.
The Trauma Merit Award was presented to the firefighters of Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal for their commitment and dedication to protecting the Montreal community. "We want to acknowledge their work; we are all part of this great community" concluded Nancy Branco, Program Manager of the Adult Trauma Program.
Dr. Kosar Khwaja, Medical Director of the Trauma Program emphasized, “The success of the trauma program is due to the multiple teams of hardworking healthcare professionals at the MUHC Montreal General Hospital site providing world class trauma care”
Dr. Lucie Opatrny, Executive Director of the MUHC highlighted the numerous accomplishments of the MUHC Adult Trauma Program and looked forward to the creation of a helipad at the Glen site as well as the beginning of the planning of a helipad at the MGH.
