Q 1. What led you to becoming a medical device reprocessing technician?
Working in a fast-paced environment and helping people is what led me to this job. I enjoy a challenge and keeping busy. Ensuring that operating rooms are equipped with sterile equipment ,on schedule, is rewarding for me. Knowing that nurses and doctors have what they need for the good of the patient is important to me and this is why I enjoy my job.
Q 2. What is the best advice that someone at the MUHC ever gave you?
The best advice I have ever received is to make sure that patients are treated like you would want to be treated. That means treating them with respect.
Q 3. Tell us about working with your collegues?
Working in this unit is about working as a team and making sure we are all contributing to the tasks required for the good of the department. This team collaborates and communicates well.
Q 4. How do you like to relax and unwind after a shift?
After a long day at work, I enjoy spending time with my family enjoying a good meal, watching a movie or going for a bike ride.
