First concrete laid for the Lachine MRI
November 22nd, 2012
Good news for the Lachine Hospital! Things are moving quickly for Phase 1 of the project to install a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanner that is adapted for obese or claustrophobic clients. After two weeks of preparation and excavation, workers poured the first batch of concrete on Wednesday.
The goal of Phase 1 is to construct the required expansion for the MRI scanner. This brand-new facility will have three floors: one floor will become the MRI suite while the other two will be used for the Redevelopment Project. Phase 1 also includes the construction of an electrical and mechanical room on the roof of the kitchen.
