Dentistry and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

The Department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is engaged in:

  • Dental care for cancer patients, including preventive pre-radiation treatment, supportive therapy, restorative dentistry and maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation
  • Maxillofacial Surgical reconstruction
  • Dental management and consultation processes for medically compromised patients
  • Dental emergency services
  • Dental care of special needs populations (elderly, palliative care)
  • Care of indigenous populations via outreach programs
  • Oral and dental rehabilitation of severe maxillofacial conditions

The Department is proud of its academic and clinical excellence. The scope of activities, along with a devoted and very experienced attending/academic staff contribute to the achievement of its goals. The evaluation of new techniques and research further improves the quality of care.
