The Department of Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is engaged in:
- Dental care for cancer patients, including preventive pre-radiation treatment, supportive therapy, restorative dentistry and maxillofacial prosthetic rehabilitation
- Maxillofacial Surgical reconstruction
- Dental management and consultation processes for medically compromised patients
- Dental emergency services
- Dental care of special needs populations (elderly, palliative care)
- Care of indigenous populations via outreach programs
- Oral and dental rehabilitation of severe maxillofacial conditions
The Department is proud of its academic and clinical excellence. The scope of activities, along with a devoted and very experienced attending/academic staff contribute to the achievement of its goals. The evaluation of new techniques and research further improves the quality of care.
