Ethics and patient engagement
The Centre for Applied Ethics provides ethics consultation, capacity building and policy development support to MUHC clinicians and patients (clinical ethics), clinical teams (clinico-organizational ethics), managers (organizational ethics) and researchers (research ethics).
The Patient Engagement Office supports a variety of patient engagement methods, including surveys, interviews, story collection, patient partner involvement in committees and projects, and focus group consultations.
As an intern, you will:
- collect, analyze and share patient experience data
- participate in research ethics board assessments
- learn the steps of clinical ethics consultation methodology through observation and, possibly, active participation
