OPERATION TO REPLACE DSQ ACCESS DEVICES

At the request of Dossier Santé Québec (DSQ) authorities, a massive operation to replace DSQ access devices took place across all MUHC sites between September 26 and October 27, 2016.

If you still have an older generation key, note that it may no longer work after the new security rules come into effect in December. A few kiosks have been added for those who were not able to take advantage of the first kiosks.

THE DOSSIER SANTÉ QUÉBEC

The Dossier Santé Québec (DSQ) is a tool that allows doctors and other health professionals to access essential health information, providing rapid patient management and ensuring quality monitoring.

[collapsed title="How does the DSQ work?"]The DSQ enables the collection and conservation of certain health information. Authorized health professionals can consult this information using their regular tools or the DSQ Visualizer.

This health information is complementary to that stored in local files at healthcare institutions, private medical clinics, and community pharmacies.

Wherever they are in Québec, health professionals can consult the DSQ in order to treat patients faster and more efficiently.

[collapsed title="Available information"]

The DSQ contains the following information :

the prescription medications of over seven million Quebecers (all community pharmacies are now part of the DSQ);

99% of test results from public laboratories;

65% of exams performed at public medical imaging clinics.

The health information from private laboratories and medical imaging clinics will be added gradually to the DSQ.
