William Buckett MB ChB, MD, FRCOG

Dr William Buckett received his medical degree from the University of Birmimgham in 1988. He completed his training in obstetrics and gynecology and was awarded the MRCOG in 1994. Following his general training he did a fellowship in Reproductive Medicine at the University of Liverpool (1995-1997) and a further fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at McGill University (1997-1999). 

After his sub-specialist training he took up a position as a consultant gynecologist and sub-specialist in infertility at St Mary's Hospital, London and also was a senior lecturer at Imperial College, London.

He returned to Montreal in 2002 to take up a post as an assistant professor and is currently associate professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at McGill University. He regularly presents his work around the world and has authored or co-authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, abstracts or book chapters. He has served on the editorial board of Human Reproduction and the Science Advisory Panel to Assisted Human Reproduction Canada.

Dr Buckett works at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) Reproductive Centre and at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal. He has experience in medical and surgical treatment of infertility, recurrent miscarriage, all assisted reproductive treatments, as well as and pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and fertility preservation for cancer patients. His main research interests are recurrent miscarriage and pregnancy outcomes following assisted reproductive treatments.
