Access to surgery

The following section shows the situation of the MUHC regarding its access to planned surgery, also referred to by the Ministry as elective surgery. An elective surgery is defined as a non-urgent surgery that is planned in advance.

The indicator shown represents the percentage of patients that were operated on less than 6 months after being put on the waiting list.

The provincial target is 90%, meaning that 90% of the patients that were operated on did not wait for more than 6 months.

Note: Hospitals function according to an annual calendar composed of 13 periods ("P" in graphs) starting April 1st of each year.
