Quebec’s first research chair in women’s heart health will be launched by Dr. Nathalie Dayan, director of Obstetrical Medicine, with a study on the role breastfeeding can have in reducing blood pressure among women who had high blood pressure or preeclampsia during pregnancy — a population known to have twice the risk of developing heart disease later in life.
