resultsGetting the results

Test results are sent to your healthcare team as soon as they are processed. Results of urgent tests may be ready within an hour of collection. Results of routine tests are usually ready within a day. Specialized tests may take longer to process. The results are then sent to your doctor by fax or mail.

tipsTips for testing

If you’re fasting or pregnant, it is best to come for a blood test as early in the day as possible. Unless you have been specifically told not to, make sure to drink water beforehand so that you are well-hydrated.
