Hundreds turn out for Lachine Hospital Centennial Festival

Celebrating 100 years of the Lachine Hospital

The Best Care for Life Campaign is a historic fundraising effort supporting the McGill University Health Centre’s crucial $2.355 billion redevelopment project as well as the Capital Development Plan. The New MUHC includes the expansion and modernization of the Montreal General and Lachine hospitals, as well as the construction of the Glen site – one of the largest hospital construction projects ever undertaken in Canada. Located next to Vendôme station, this site will be the new home for the Montreal Children’s Hospital, the Montreal Chest Institute, the Royal Victoria Hospital, the Research Institute of the MUHC and a new Cedars Cancer Centre.

Now in its final stretch, the Best Care for Life Campaign has so far raised $285 million of its $300-million goal thanks to the hard work of the campaign’s leadership, countless volunteers, and of course the generosity of the community.
