Research Focus:

Pax 2 has been shown to be an important regulator of apotosis during nephrogenesis. Although downregulated in mature kidneys, reexpression can occur in response to renal injury. We are in the process of investigating the role of Pax 2 in renal tubular apoptosis cells following ureteral obstruction.Kidney, Development, Obstruction, Hydronephrosis, Apoptosis
