Research is focused on the role of the wnt-signaling pathway and cadherin-mediated cell adhesion in ovarian follicular morphogenesis and patterning. The potential role of wnt-signaling deregulation and alterations in cadherin expression in ovarian tumorigenesis is an active area of investigation. Additional areas of study involve somatic-germ cell interactions in the ovary and the function of HOX cofactor genes in the oocyte and follicular cells.Ovary, follicle, granulosa cell, wnt, signaling, cell adhesion, patterning, gene regulation
