Research Focus: 

The field of research is transfusion medicine and in particular adverse transfusion reactions. Studies conducted relate to the epidemiology of blood transfusion, post-transfusion survival, epidemiological studies of respiratory complications of transfusion like transfusion-associated circulatory overload and transfusion-related acute lung injury. Other studies relate to major allergic transfusion reactions. The methods used consist of analyzing large databases like MED ECHO, death registry and adverse transfusion reactions databases. Also retrospective and prospective chart medical reviews are conducted.
