Research is focused on the investigation of orthopaedic biomechanics and biomaterials related to joint replacements. Specific focus of the lab is the enhancement of bone growth into porous coated implants and mechanical testing of arthroplasty implants. The laboratory uses animal models and clinical research to elucidate and optimize the role of various parameters in enhancing bone ingrowth and increase survivorship of cementless joint arthroplasty.Arthroplasty, cementless, hip, ingrowth, biomaterials
