Research Focus:

Clinical interest include research into new drug treatments for ovarian and uterine cancers, improving outcomes following the surgical treatment of Gynecological cancers and fertility preservation in women with cancers. One of the seminal research projects initiated at MUHC is the DOVE (Detecting Ovarian Cancer Early) project. This is an ambitious endeavour aimed at early detection of ovarian cancer using three approaches, a clinical approach using a prevalence function for triaging symptomatic patients, an image recognition software to aid early diagnosis, and a basic science component aimed at developing better tumor markers.
