A major focus is rheumatoid arthritis pathogenesis including functional characterization of hematopoietic progenitor cells in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, mechanisms of bone marrow derived progenitor cells’ aging, and the impact on immune-regeneration. Dr. Colmegna is also interested in assessment of rheumatoid arthritis patients and family needs and health outcomes.
