Research Focus: 

Research program focuses on the evaluation of the safety, effectiveness and economic implications of medications using large administrative databases and on the development of new biostatistical methods for the design and analyses of such studies. Current research includes the assessment of the cost, gastrointestinal and cardiovascular adverse events of the nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and the COX-2 inhibitors, the study of the antidepressants and their gastrointestinal adverse events and the assessment of the risk of thromboembolism following total joint replacement.
