Research Focus:

Current research involves the utility of diagnostic tests used to help determine diagnosis in infants and young children with febrile illnesses, abdominal pain, or breathing difficulties. Focusing on using the most accurate testing regimes combined with patient history and examination to make the diagnosis with as little pain or discomfort to the child, the result should lead to early and accurate treatment of the child's illness. The goal is on the practicality of the information obtained for the medical team (physicians and nurses in the field).
