Continuing Review
The REB will conduct a Continuing Review of an ongoing study based on a progress report submitted at an interval no greater than twelve months prior to the expiration of the preceding ethics approval. An REB Continuing Review may establish new conditions for study approval and this ongoing oversight continues at the interval set by the REB, until the acceptance of a Termination Report.
The Continuing Review application is used to provide a study progress report and to request REB review in order to continue to conduct the study. If the ethics approval for the study expires, all research activities must stop immediately.
