This incredible standing shows that the RI-MUHC has an exceptional concentration of outstanding researchers in life, the largest in Quebec.

Since the creation of the RI-MUHC more than ten years ago, the research landscape has changed significantly, both at the national and provincial levels. The MUHC has also changed during this time. Therefore, over the past year the MUHC Board, together with external legal advice and input from McGill University and the Faculty of Medicine, undertook a detailed evaluation of the By-Laws as well as the organizational structure of the RI-MUHC.

There’s been a lot of discussion in the press recently in response to news that The Lancet had finally retracted the paper that linked the measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccine to autism when it was first published back in 1998. It set off a wave of fear amongst the public.
