[3]At the REB Chairs’ Retreat of November 9, 2007, its members endorsed the proposal that all REB members complete the MSSS on-line Tutorial in Research Ethics, in conformity with the MSSS Plan d’action Ministèriel http://www.muhc.ca/files/research/Plan.pdf [4]. It is the responsibility of the MUHC to ensure that REB members are adequately trained.
Researchers, study coordinators, students, residents and research study staff are also strongly encouraged to complete Level 1 and 3 of this tutorial. Currently, all FRSQ awardees are already required to complete them. This tutorial helps to educate research community members on best practices in the ethical conduct of research in Quebec.
