What happened to all the special rooms or murals or services that have been donated by families in honor of a loved one?

Our generous donors are given recognition by having their name associated with rooms, departments, services and other opportunities in accordance with a policy put in place by the MUHC Board of Directors.

The many donor recognitions that existed at the former Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH), the Montreal Children's Hospital (MCH) and the Montreal Chest Institute (MCI) were unable to be transferred to the Glen, however these donors were offered the opportunity to renew their recognition at the Glen by their respective foundations and many new donors are being recognized at the new site as well. Our valued tradition of community support and recognition will continue and is on display at the new site.

The artwork on all MUHC sites are the responsibility of the RBC Art and Heritage Centre and they are ensuring that pieces from the former RVH, MCH and the MCI are bring put on display at the Glen. Given the volume of artwork and the limited space in which to display it, the MUHC is exploring ways to make more and more of our heritage accessible to the public.
