 JOB DESCRIPTION

 Labor and delivery nurses provide care for women who present in labor or with complications of pregnancy.  The nurse provides support to the laboring women and their family during a very intense experience.   After 6 months experience, the labor and delivery nurse has the opportunity to manage patients in the operating room during a cesarean delivery and mange the care for clients with high risk pregnancies and deliveries.

Requirements: 
  • Hold a valid OIIQ permit or CPNP permit
  • Very good knowledge of one of both language (French or English) and functional knowledge of the other one
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate strong autonomous critical thinking
  • Value team work within multidisciplinary team
  • Adapt to new technology
  • Enjoy working in a changing and challenging environment

Status        

  • Permanent full-time or part-time positions  

Orientation

  • A minimum of 4 weeks individual orientation based on a Preceptorship Program
  • You will be accompanied throughout your integration with an experienced nurse
Schedule: 
  • Rotation, alternate weekend
  • Choice of 8 or 12  hours shift
  • 50% of day shift guaranteed
