Members of the media are invited to participate in a campaign to raise awareness about wearing a bicycle helmet, organized by the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the Department of Traumatology at the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), the Association québécoise des traumatisés crâniens (AQTC), and the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ).
Date : Thursday, May 17th, 2012
Time: 3pm to 5pm
Location: On the bicycle path on boulevard René-Lévesque, at the corner of rue Panet
Medical specialists (including Dr. Tarek Razek, Director of the MGH Trauma Program and Tara Grenier, MGH Injury Prevention Coordinator), police officers and people who have experienced head injuries will be on site to give cyclists advice, discuss the consequences of a head injury, hand out helmets, and answer questions.
We look forward to seeing you there.
