The Emergency Department of Lachine Campus of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) returned to full operation on Friday morning, following a week of reconstruction and restoration. The work was necessary after a flood caused on the premises the previous week.

Following extensive cleaning, disinfection and decontamination, air quality testing confirmed that the emergency department conditions were, once again, consistent with the strict standards and guidelines set out for healthcare institutions in Montreal.

The MUHC is indebted to its partners in the local healthcare network as well as the Lachine community for their assistance, patience and cooperation during this incident.
