The McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Government of Quebec announced on the 15th October that a Request for Proposals (RFP) has been issued to the two international consortia bidding to design, build, finance and maintain the MUHC’s new facilities at the Glen Campus.
Based on the information provided in the RFP, the consortia will prepare detailed proposals, based on which one consortium will be selected as the private sector partner for the Glen Campus. “This RFP milestone is the beginning of a structured process with the private sector that will lead us to construction,” noted the Honourable Dr. Arthur T. Porter, MUHC Director General and Chief Executive Officer. “The consortia have everything in hand to meet our expectations: inspired architecture; effective clinical, research and teaching space; a healing environment; environmental stewardship; and harmonious urban integration. Moreover, our Mountain Campus and the Lachine Hospital will also exemplify these standards of excellence.
