A voice for the community
It has always been essential for the MUHC to let members of the community have their say. To ensure that the new MUHC addresses residents’ expectations and concerns and to ensure it is a true reflection of the people it serves, the MUHC has held a number of public meetings and information sessions over the past years.
As part of municipal regulation changes for the development of the Glen and Mountain campuses, the MUHC presented its project during public consultations led by the Office de consultations publiques de Montréal. This exercise allowed the MUHC to correct and refine several aspects of the project.
Finally, the MUHC has nurtured close ties with its community for many years: at the Glen Campus with the Inter-Neighbourhood Coalition and the research team subsidized by the Community-University Research Alliance (CURA); and at the Mountain Campus with Héritage Montréal and Les Amis de la montagne.
