Research Institute

Thanks to a $100 million grant awarded by the Canada Foundation for Innovation—matched by $100 million from the Quebec government and $50 million from donors—the Research Institute at the Glen Site will be at the fore front of innovation.

  • The proximity to hospital facilities will give researchers direct access to clinicians and patients
  • The organization of researchers into “neighbourhoods” will encourage teams from different fields to work together towards new breakthroughs
  • Laboratories will have cutting-edge equipment and advanced medical computer systems to help researchers perform advanced analyses and collaborate with their colleagues around the world

The Centre for Innovative Medicine at the Glen will specialize in clinical trials to let MUHC researchers translate their most promising discoveries into new treatments.

The Centre for Translational Biology at the Glen will permit researchers to apply amazing discoveries in genetics and epigenetics to major medical problems, such as congenital defects in children;
