Since 1997, that commitment has been strengthened by a merger that has galvanized our strengths in patient care, research and teaching through a model of interdisciplinary, mission-based care used by the finest academic hospitals in the world.
Bolstered by the Faculty of Medicine of McGill University and by the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre, our hospital has never been more vibrant. As we begin the 21st century, the MUHC has never been more ready to secure its place among North America’s leading health care centres.
By building new facilities at the Glen Campus, reinventing the Montreal General site as the expanded and modernized Mountain Campus and extensively upgrading the Lachine Campus, the McGill University Health Centre will provide its caregivers with facilities that live up to their extraordinary level of talent and training while helping us attract and retain the very best health care professionals. From the ground up, our new campuses are being designed to accommodate the modern, technologically advanced and collaborative model of care which was the reason the MUHC was created ten years ago.
Most important of all, the new MUHC will give our patients and their families a hospital centre where high-tech meets human, and where confidence, hope, privacy and dignity are built in.
The New MUHC.
It’s for our patients. It’s for our professionals. It’s for our community.
It’s for life.
