The numerous facets of Dr. Eric Fombonne's research programs on autism reflect the complexity of the illness. From the genetic causes of the pathology in the neuropsychological development of the patients to the development of innovative treatments, his scientific results enrich the clinical practice of his whole team, from diagnosis to patient follow-up. Dr Eric Fombonne is currently Director of the Department of Psychiatry at the MUHC Montreal Children's Hospital and Head of the Division of Child Psychology at McGill University. His work was recognized in November, 2001 with a Canada Research Chair in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He is a world-renowned researcher and clinician. He has published close to 170 articles on his research and has collaborated on or written approximately 40 books.
