Guest: Dr. Sam Daniel (Associate Director of Research of the Otorhinolaryngology Division at the Montreal Children's Hospital)

Botulinum toxin, more commonly known as Botox, is one of the most poisonous naturally occurring substances in the world. Despite this, Botox, in its purified form, has become the most popular chemical used in cosmetic surgery.
Botox is commonly used to treat wrinkles, but Dr. Sam Daniel of the Montreal Children’s Hospital has found an innovative new use – treating Children with a rare but life threatening condition called CHARGE Syndrome. Dr. Daniels joins us on the phone from the Montreal Children’s Hospital to tell us more.
Our guest interviews follow the World News In Three Medical Minutes – a regular feature on Health Matters where we summarize the cutting edge medical stories making headlines around the world.
