1.) The Change in TB Treatment – Dr. Dick Menzes, Director of Respiratory Medicine and Researcher of Respiratory Illness at MUHC’s Research Institute: re-evaluate the treatment plan and come up with recommendations for the new treatments because the older treatments are no longer/less effective
2.) Back-pain (phone-in) – Dr. Yorham Shear, Director of Pain Centre: commenting on how we don’t know the idiopath (“reason”) for back pain; preventive methods for back pain (have to exercise, keep weight within normal range, stop smoking, etc), treatments (conventional vs. alternative, ie. Acupuncture). 80-90%of people will have at least one episode of acute back pain, for many it will go away spontaneously – have to make sure it doesn’t go from an acute episode to a chronic condition.
3.) Young Cuts Film Festival – opening gala hosted by Justin Trudeau, raised money for Cedars Cancer Research
