Q & A 1
01. You said that as patients are living longer with HIV, they begin to develop complications. Are those caused by the virus, or could it be due to being on the medications for such a long period of time, (or both)?
02. How can you differentiate between whether it's the residual virus or the medication that is causing the problems?
03. Are any of you looking into doing further research relative to stigma, as it has a direct effect on prevention in many cultures? since on a social level it affects the availability of preventative measures?
04. We are looking for ways to prevent & control HIV, yet when a person is newly diagnosed, the medical team is not allowed to inform the person's partner of this diagnosis. What is your opinion on this?
Q & A 2
05. Will the saliva test that you mentioned ever be available in pharmacies for self-administration?
06. Do you find it frustrating that because of man-made barriers, your breakthroughs may not reach communities in need such as the African continent? Do you ever consider forming a non-profit NGO to help overcome this?
07. How much of the accelerated aging is due to an inflammatory response to immune activity?
08. If the therapeutic vaccine increases immune activity, is there a risk it could cause further accelerated aging?

Q & A 3
11. When a needlestick injury occurs at the hospital, a drug can be given within 2hrs to prevent HIV infection. Is there any hope of extending that time period and making the drug more publicly available?
Q & A 4
12. Are we winning the battle against HIV/AIDS?
