Music for the Massive raises $1,500 for The Best Care for Life Campaign
On October 22nd, Brent Taylor, Collin Henry and Kevin Jagernauth, collectively known as Music for the Massive, presented a $1,500 cheque to William Eakin, Chairman of the Board of the Montreal Chest Institute Foundation, who gratefully accepted the donation to the Campaign on behalf of the foundation.
When a close friend of the founders lost a family member to pulmonary fibrosis, the group decided to make the Montreal Chest Institute, a leader in research and treatment of respiratory diseases, the benefactor of their inaugural July 10 event.
The group hosted a fundraising DJ night at Club Lambi which brought something different to the Montreal club scene; they assembled various music genres and people from different parts of the city, all while giving back to the community.
Kevin explains the group's need to give back to the community: “We've always felt very blessed to be surrounded by great and supportive friends and we wanted to take that positive vibe and radiate it out back into the community.” Music for the Massive is already working on their second benefit--a New Year’s Eve DJ-night.
