Dancing with the Docs and The Best Care for Life Campaign
The building of the New MUHC is made possible in part by the $300 million being raised from the community by The Best Care for Life Campaign. To date, $248 million has been raised, including $87 million from The Best Care for Children Campaign.
To help kick off this final leg, the MUHC is excited to present a fun and unique fundraiser – Dancing with the Docs. This Hollywood-themed evening, based on the TV show Dancing with the Stars, takes place February 4, 2012 at Metropolis.
Professionals from the Arthur Murray Dance Schools are practising their choreography with our doctors and will really heat things up with a few numbers of their own.
The dancers will face a panel of celebrity judges, including ballroom dance champion Jean-Marc Généreux, perhaps best known as a choreographer on the U.S. competition reality show So You Think You Can Dance and as a judge on the Canadian version of the hit show. He will be joined by CTV News Anchor Mutsumi Takahashi, CJAD 800 Morning Host Andrew Carter, and international dance champion Méryem Pearson, before the audience has a chance to vote.
Don’t miss your chance to vote for your favourite dancing doc and take part in this vintage Hollywood-themed evening complete with paparazzi, red carpet, a cocktail dinatoire, live band and of course, lots of dancing!
